In January 2011 more than 300 Dutch municipalities have implemented the local Youth Reference Index by MULTIsignal. The Dutch municipalities use the web based application on a “Software as a service” basis. Other countries, in Europe or elsewhere in the world could use the application in the same way.
The application is build in a modular way. The modularity (locally managed with parameters) makes the application fit to local or regional demands on the company’s business processes. Another unique selling point is that the Youth Reference Index shares only very little information. It is only used for communicating the wish of the professional to cooperate with others dealing with the same child. Nothing more, nothing less. This makes the system acceptable to everyone, even to those who fear intrusions in people’s privacy.
